Michael Jackson’s “Off The Wall” returns in a new edition
The reissue of this solo album, which the artist recorded at the age of 20, allows us to (re)discover 10 fabulous songs that have since become legendary. “Don’t stop ’til you get enough”, “Rock with you”…global hits that not only enabled Michael to launch a new career without his brothers, but also shattered the sales record for an African-American artist. For the occasion, he had already surrounded himself with the best, including Quincy Jones (who later also worked on “Thriller” and “Dangerous”). The CD doesn’t include any bonuses, nor a remastering of the songs, but new packaging and a DVD (or Blu-Ray) signed by Spike Lee. In “MJ’s Journey from Motown to Off The Wall”, the famous director retraces the early career of the man who was soon to become the King of Pop. With exceptional documents, never-before-seen information and interviews with Mark Ronson and the Weeknd, this is a real success, to be discovered from February 25, 2016 (Sony Music).
