“Models never talk”, a performance by Olivier Saillard, giving models a voice for the first time. Director of the Musée Galliera in Paris and a fashion historian, Olivier Saillard likes to tell the story of the world he’s passionate about in a different way, notably by staging the world of clothing. His latest idea: a performance in New York with seven former top models who, for once, recount their vision of things, their feelings during a meeting with a couturier, a fitting or a fashion show. The models, who are usually asked to pose and keep quiet, speak for the first time in sincere, moving and funny voices, dressed in simple tights, leotards and black pumps, showing off their endless legs and demonstrating that beauty is ageless. It’s another way of transmitting, of learning a little more about the world of fashion through Olivier Saillard’s attentive, almost protective gaze. And the only two performances at Milk Studios were to standing ovations! With Anne Rohart, Violeta Sanchez, Axelle Doué, Charlotte Flossaut, Christine Bergström, Claudia Huidobro, Amalia Vairelli.
