“Château Grand Ormeau 2010” is dark in color. The bouquet is intense, with aromas of black fruit and subtle hints of plum. On the palate, the structure is very vinous, with a rich, dense body. Well-balanced architecture and freshness. It has been acclaimed by Parker with a score of 89.
“Château Grand Ormeau 2011 is a dense, full-bodied wine with deep colors and ripe fruit aromas. It has been acclaimed by Parker with a score of 90, and was awarded the gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole at the Salon International de l’Agriculture.
“Château Grand Ormeau 2012 has a deep color. It is characterized by a beautiful aromatic expression dominated by spicy, fruity and floral notes, silky, ripe tannins on the palate favoring a beautiful overall harmony. It was praised by Parker with a score of 90.
With its consistent quality, Château Grand Ormeau now ranks among the appellation’s finest crus. Situated on the right bank of the Dordogne, in the upper part of the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation, it extends over a 14-hectare parcel, consisting of a gravelly layer of predominantly flint on a clay subsoil.
