As singular as ever, the Zik has been updated with new colors, an improved design, wireless charging, hi-fi quality via USB, and intelligent noise cancellation…
We were able to test it out, and it’s our favorite headset! Highly intuitive, with top sound quality that allows you to escape from the world around you. But what also makes the difference is its ultra-sleek design.
Simply beautiful
More fashionable, perhaps more feminine, the Zik 3 boasts a couture spirit: shiny crocodile, grained matte leather or topstitched, in furiously trendy colors.
– Crocodile effect, with a touch of impertinence, in black, brown, emerald green or red;
– Stitched effect, matte finish, an assertive style in ivory or black;
– Grained effect, a classic, offered exclusively in black.
The design of the headset has been improved, in particular the width of the hoops, which has been enlarged to adapt to all morphologies for optimum comfort.
Resolutely wireless and hyper-intuitive
– Wireless charging: The Parrot Zik 3 has a dedicated wireless charging station and is compatible with most Qi wireless chargers. Charging time is 2 hours, for an autonomy of 18 hours.
– Bluetooth and NFC wireless connection: the Parrot Zik 3 is compatible with all brands of cell phones on the market, and accepts a wide range of music sources (Bluetooth audio, and via a 3-pin mini jack cable for connection to aircraft audio and video systems in particular).
The headset also features NFC wireless technology.
– Touch-sensitive control panel: the right earpiece of the Parrot Zik 3 houses a touch-sensitive panel that gives access to a wide range of functions: a vertical movement of the finger adjusts the volume; a horizontal movement changes the music track; a brief press pauses the music.
– Presence sensor: as soon as the headset is tilted around the neck, the music pauses. Repositioned on the head, the music resumes.
Highly technological for uncompromising audio quality
– Hi-fi quality
Thanks to the USB cable connection, audiophiles can enjoy hi-fi quality sound while recharging their headphones!
– Adaptive Noise Cancellation… automatic
The Zik 3 benefits from a high-performance adaptive noise cancellation system.
The headphones’ microphones capture surrounding noise, and an algorithm combines these signals to generate acoustic waves opposite to the noise. Noise reduction can reach 30 decibels.
Noise cancellation is managed via the dedicated app, but the headset is also capable of adapting it automatically and autonomously according to the surrounding noise.
– The ‘Street Mode’ (Parrot patent)
An algorithm developed by Parrot compensates for the isolation of the headphones by reinjecting part of the sound environment, and also cancels out the occlusion effect inherent in the use of closed headphones. During a telephone conversation, for example, this mode allows you to regain a natural perception of your own voice by eliminating the “box” effect.
– High-definition telephony
Whether you’re in a noisy environment (public transport, street…) or exposed to the wind, your telephone conversations are crystal-clear thanks to powerful algorithms that isolate your voice from surrounding noise.
Compatible with ‘HD Voice’ technology, the Parrot Zik 3 offers natural audio quality in conversation, as if the person you’re talking to were right next to you.
A dedicated application compatible with modern devices
The dedicated ‘Parrot Zik’ app for Smartphones and tablets is now compatible with Apple Watch and Android Wear connected watches! It lets you “tune” the headphones to your tastes, as well as listen to music “tuned” by artists.
– Parrot Concert Hall: recreates the acoustics of a living room, concert hall or jazz club;
– Equalizer: lets you quickly and intuitively adjust the sound of Parrot Zik 3.
– Producer mode: allows you to ‘tune’ the headphones with a 5-band parametric equalizer combined with a proprietary spatialization effect.
– Tuned By: Access artists’ audio presets and listen to their music as they like to hear it, or discover audio presets created by other Zik headset users.
