The history of “Sauvage” is rewritten. Johnny Depp’s indomitable allure brings Dior’s new fragrance to life.

A pirate with a dark look, Depp is never where you expect him to be. His tough-guy attitude seemed to put him light-years away from the role of muse for a major brand. Dior has tamed him: for the first time in his career, Depp becomes an ambassador for a major fashion house.

The story, shot by Jean Baptiste Mondiano, reveals the essence of the actor in every scene, his myth in every shot. His love of music, his famous admiration for Stones guitarist Keith Richards, who inspired the character of Jack Sparrow, his roles as an Indian (Lone Ranger), a pirate (Pirates of the Caribbean), a man on the run (from Arizona Dream to Dead Man): a perfume embodied by Depp, or rather made by Depp. It’s as if you’ve never seen it before.
