Champagne is a magical beverage in which we project many dreams, and which is often on hand for special occasions. As Valentine’s Day approaches, here’s a small selection of 3 favorites to celebrate love.
Moët Rosé Impérial
Opening this chic, elegant box reveals two pompoms entwined by a black ribbon, a bottle of Moët Impérial Rosé champagne, and a pretty, discreet notebook to describe all the well-being, flavor and generosity of this unique evening…
A reinterpretation of the cravat that has embraced the neck of its bottle since 1886, the knot, like a singular dress-code, is transformed into a subtle link uniting two flutes. It also expresses the attachment between Moët & Chandon and rosé champagne lovers, illustrating centuries of excellence, with a hint of elegance!
With remarkable consistency, Moët & Chandon Impérial Rosé perfectly describes the House style and the message conveyed by this exceptional champagne: bold on the palate, radiantly fruity, and elegantly mature. Its brilliant pink color with coppery highlights reveals lively, slender, supple fruit notes on the palate. On the nose, accents of wild strawberry, redcurrant and peppery notes illuminate the champagne.
Moët & Chandon Rosé Impérial is far from being limited to sweet compositions, and goes perfectly with simple, colorful and intense dishes: beef carpaccio with olive oil, pan-seared red mullet fillets with a coriander emulsion, grilled shellfish, fresh ratatouille or red fruit salad, enhanced with a mint leaf.
Made from more than 100 different wines, its blend reflects the diversity and complementarity of the three grape varieties that go to make it:-the intensity of Pinot Noir: 40% to 50% including 10% red wine,-the roundness of Pinot Meunier: 30% to 40% including 10% red wine,-the elegance of Chardonnay: 10% to 20% including 20% to 30% reserve wines specially selected to perfect its intensity, subtlety and consistency.

Champagne Philipponnat Cuvée “1522” Rosé 2006
In Champagne, rosés are not new, nor are they considered light and easy. Here’s proof with this rosé version of Philipponnat’s Cuvée “1522”. Cuvée “1522” Rosé is the finest example of the Champagne House’s great blends, made from the finest selections of Pinot Noir from Ay (around 70%, including 8% red wine from the Mareuil s/Aÿ vineyards) and Chardonnay from Mesnil s/Oger (30%).
The nose is reminiscent of red and black fruits, with some floral notes. On the palate, the attack is fresh and pure. The mousse is fine and delicate. Complex, balanced and pleasantly lively, “1522” Rosé is a perfect expression of ripe fruit and great minerality. Simply enjoy with strawberries or raspberries for dessert. Ideal for sunny days!
