GALA OPENING OF THE NEW BVLGARI HOTEL BEIJING

The new Bulgari Hotel Beijing has opened its doors in the heart of Beijing’s prestigious embassy district.
After seven years of painstaking work, the fourth resort in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection, designed by architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, offers an oasis of tranquillity blending art and nature within the new Genesis project.

Celebrities, artists, designers and Beijing personalities gathered to celebrate the hotel’s inauguration at a gala dinner hosted by Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari, and Antonio Saponara, General Manager of Bulgari Hotel Beijing.
Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito, creator of the Il Ristorante concept for the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts collection, created a special menu for the occasion that reflects his taste for simplicity and originality.

At the dinner, held in the sumptuous ballroom with its majestic tables adorned with flowers and candles, Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin entertained the audience with a speech on the long-standing relationship between Italy and China. The LE DIV4S quartet then gave a superb performance
of a selection of the finest classical arias from Italian opera.


After dinner, guests were welcomed by a captivating DJ set and a live jazz saxophone session in the intimate atmosphere of Il Bar and Terrace, where they enjoyed the surroundings until late into the night.
Brand ambassador Shu Qi, Chinese actress and model Zhang Ziyi and VIP guests such as the famous Meng Guangmei, actors Zhu Xudan and Sun Jian, TV presenter Chen Luyu and artists Yan Pei-Ming and Irene Kung were all present at the event.

At today’s press conference to officially present the project, attended by Silvio UrsiniExecutive Vice President of the Bulgari Group, architects Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel, landscape architect Enzo Enea, chef Niko Romito,Antonio Saponara and artist Irene Kung,
Jean-Christophe Babin unveiled the magnificent portrait of the House’s founder, Sotirio Bulgari, which will be displayed in the lobby.
The painting was created by the renowned contemporary Chinese artist Yang Pei-Ming, who was also present at the conference.
” The opening of the first Bulgari hotel in China reflects the importance of this market for our brand and symbolizes the fruitful dialogue between our two countries,” explains Jean-Christophe Babin.

Silvio Ursini succeeded him on stage to present the BHR collection and declared:
“The Bulgari Hotel Beijing was designed and built with the spirit and attention to detail that characterize all our establishments. We are convinced that by combining the best of Italian home furnishings with meticulous Chinese craftsmanship with precious materials, Italian marble, wood details and fabrics, we will fully meet our customers’ expectations.
