LACOSTE, whose sport and fashion roots have inspired its collections since 1933, will equip all French athletes during the opening and closing ceremonies, protocol and in the Olympic Village. True to the brand’s sporting DNA, the French Olympic team’s outfits for the Rio 2016 games embody French elegance and chic.
Blue, white and red are the 3 colors of this wardrobe marked by 2 strong emblems: the tricolor Crocodile and the association of the Olympic rings with the rooster.

The French Olympic team’s wardrobe is composed of several silhouettes that correspond to the different moments of the athletes’ lives during the summer: a ceremonial outfit, a protocol outfit and two outfits that they will wear in the Olympic Village.

This collection will be sold exclusively in France starting April 28, 2016.
To celebrate the style of the athletes and encourage them with elegance, LACOSTE called on the duo of choreographers and directors “I could never be a dancer” who imagined an aesthetic, modern and singular film, where the performance is written at the same time as the sound is elaborated. The music, specially created by The Shoes for this occasion, is materialized in a new visual experience. Each sound and musical line is choreographed in a clear, creative and contemporary writing. Paris becomes a playground with modernist accents, animated by seats and performances to recall the enthusiasm of the fans for the Blues. The spirit of the Olympic Games, like a pulse, wins the city and re-enchants it as the film progresses.
