Luis Buchinho is a garment architect, a specialist in cut and silhouette. For this Fall Winter 2014-2015 collection, he becomes an illusionist. Inspired by the world of Georges Rousse (painter and photographer). A non-literal approach to his work, playing with ideas of distortion, occupation and creating new realities using existing ones.
A real architectural construction, materials intermingle with colors to create a unique yet plural piece. The black background highlights the work, which moves from the second to the third dimension as each model is created. The construction of a silhouette within a silhouette. True to its DNA, this collection will showcase women with a strong, assertive character, at the crossroads of genres.
The expressive palette is modernist, with a base of black and white, underneath mottled pinks and blushes contrasting with bright pinks.
This comfortable, easy-to-wear fabric features pleated wools, double-sided tweeds, leather, furs and knits, as well as printed pleats and fabrics borrowed from men’s wardrobes to perfect the trompe l’oeil effect.
A modern, sensual collection that leaves no room for cut approximation. A kaleidoscope of charm.
