Corum opens a new store in the heart of Paris’s Golden Triangle district. The store is located on rue Pierre Charron in the capital’s 8th arrondissement, and is a mecca for luxury on the Right Bank. A prestigious boutique in collaboration with Kronometry 1999.
This luxury brand, founded in 1955 by Gaston Ries and his nephew René Bannwart, is renowned for the excellence of its craftsmanship and the creativity of its products. Based in Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Gaston Ries and René Bannwart decided to join forces, one as a watchmaker, the other as a designer, to transform their small watch factory into a company. They set up their own brand at the forefront of Swiss watchmaking.
Corum is recognizable by its emblem: a key reaching for the sky. This key symbolizes the perseverance and audacity that watchmakers must demonstrate. The brand draws on the fundamentals of traditional watchmaking and combines them with innovation. Corum’s flagship timepiece, the Admiral’s Cup, recognizable by its square case, was designed in 1960. The brand revolutionized the world of watchmaking with bold designs and technical perfection. Its original creations made Corum the “watchmaker who makes fashion” and set the brand apart from other Swiss watch companies.
Corum continues to develop its visibility. It is already present in 80 countries worldwide. Its new sales outlet in Paris is housed in a historic building. The sleek boutique is made of top-of-the-range materials and respects the brand’s codes. It will house the brand’s iconic collections, such as Corum Bridge and Admiral’s Cup, as well as a few pieces from its heritage collection.
