EAU DE LACOSTE POUR FEMME, The soft sensation of pure white cotton on the skin

Contemporary, iconic, understated yet sensual, LACOSTE celebrates the launch of EAU DE LACOSTE for women. The lightness and elegance of a timeless legend captured in the brand’s new signature fragrance.

“The brand’s universe is very clearly represented in EAU DE LACOSTE: The iconic crocodile and the small cotton piqué, the brand’s classic heritage…” says Antoine Delgrange, International Marketing Director P&G Prestige. “So we tried to translate the philosophy of fashion design into a sensory experience imbued with femininity and beauty,” he adds. The result: a fragrance that captures the refreshing feel of pure white cotton on the skin, a luxury all its own.

To evoke the freshness and purity of cotton, a bouquet of white flowers recalls the light, refreshing caress of fabric on the skin, and the color white symbolizes purity par excellence. In the base, creamy, balsamic notes add resonance and create a soft, sensual atmosphere. EAU DE LACOSTE is built on a well-balanced olfactory pyramid between top and base notes, combining modern and traditional ingredients to create a light olfactory harmony.

At the top, EAU DE LACOSTE vibrates with sparkling freshness, with juicy notes of white pineapple, enhanced by mandarin and Calabrian bergamot. In the heart, the elegance of white orange blossom and Arabian jasmine evoke the purity characteristic of the LACOSTE brand. These notes, interwoven with the almost textured scent of pineapple blossom, inspire a delicate, pure and natural femininity. In the base, voluptuous sensuality persists with resonant notes of sandalwood and vanilla, supported by vetiver and Peruvian balsam fir.

EAU DE LACOSTE for women: The bottle

This desire for simplicity is immediately reflected in the choice of a round bottle for EAU DE LACOSTE. Christophe Pillet, LACOSTE’s Design Director, came up with the concept. Resolutely pure and modern, the glass sphere evolves in a gradation from cream to white, ending on a cap imitating the texture of the famous quilted mesh. Wrapped around the neck of the bottle, a silky cotton collar reveals a metal pendant embossed with the famous “crocodile”. According to Christophe Pillet: “The signatures of the LACOSTE brand are so iconic: the crocodile, the cotton used to weave the quilted stitch… that it was only natural to bring all these elements together”. But it’s the subtle, more feminine details – the metallic, flesh-toned bronze and copper logo on the bottle, the elegance of the crocodile charm, the tactile quality of the petit piqué cap, and the perfect roundness of the bottle – that make it as seductive as a piece of jewelry.

With an “unconventional chic” twist, the Lacoste woman is modern and independent. Her fragrance underlines her elusive personality. Authenticity, “joie de vivre”, empathy and elegance are the fundamental brand values shared by the LACOSTE woman. Her fragrance naturally reflects her character and enhances her silhouette.

With its ready-to-wear, jewelry, leather goods, eyewear, shoes, watches and fragrances, the LACOSTE brand now offers women a complete wardrobe for everyday wear.

EAU DE LACOSTE for women: The muse

LACOSTE celebrates its collaboration with American actress Amy Adams, who perfectly embodies the woman

LACOSTE. Her elegance, spontaneity and natural style reflect the simplicity, confidence and naturalness that characterize the LACOSTE brand. “Amy has a natural grace and modernity that women admire as much as men,” says Antoine Delgrange. “She captures the spirit of LACOSTE in a truly charming way. A three-time Oscar nominee, Amy Adams has earned an excellent reputation: her down-to-earth approach, strong work ethic and refreshing authenticity have landed her prestigious roles, including LACOSTE muse. “I’m so excited to represent the new LACOSTE women’s fragrance,” says Amy Adams. “LACOSTE has long been considered an iconic brand, so it’s an honor to be part of their new campaign.” Amy Adams has an instinctive affinity for fragrances: “I’ve always been sensitive to scents, and often remember the smell of someone long after they’ve left the room. It’s amazing how your senses can be heightened to the point of triggering an emotion or memory with the faintest whiff of perfume.”

EAU DE LACOSTE for women: The campaign

To illustrate the softness and sensuality of this new fragrance, LACOSTE opted for a clean, captivating campaign, expressing the lightness to the touch, the freshness of the fragrance and the joy and spontaneity of the brand. According to Antoine Delgrange: “The campaign is simple: refined lighting, a pure color palette, a nude background; Amy wears a white cotton shirt. The concept of the glass ball rolling on the skin refers directly to the shape of the bottle, but it’s also an emotional interpretation of the LACOSTE spirit,” he adds. “Something worn close to the body, as evanescent and transparent as a perfume: the sensory touch, similar to a light caress, becomes fascinating, the viewer is captivated by Amy’s mastery of the glass sphere – it’s bewitching and sensual. What could be more wonderfully feminine? For the soundtrack to the advert, LACOSTE opted for “City Girl” by The Jezabels, a supernatural rock soundtrack that plays on the film’s atmosphere. The photo campaign is directed by Vincent Peters, known for his cinema shoots and extraordinary “Hollywood-style” lighting, and showcases Amy’s natural beauty. “I think the photo expresses Amy’s natural, singular charm,” says Vincent Peters. “I tried to capture Amy au naturel rather than in a frozen pose, so that the portrait reveals a woman at ease in her own skin, showing her feelings.” To emphasize Amy Adams’ natural beauty, the make-up and hairstyling maintain a relaxed, authentic style, with hair in motion, almost bare skin to reveal her freckles, and a neutral color palette. “It’s about sublimating what’s already there: healthy, fresh skin, lips barely more intense than their natural color, flesh tones and taupe for the eyes, and mascara to gently curl the lashes. There’s no question of overplaying anything,” says Amy Adams’ make-up artist Stephen Sollitto.
