URBAN LUXURY… It’s all about dialogue
“When urban glamour meets allure” is the on-trend credo of designer Andrea Karg’s Allude a/h 2013-2014 collection, in which delicate bespoke cashmere contrasts with raw leather.
As always, Andrea Karg is dedicated to experimenting and pushing the limits of materiality. This is how she combines her signature cashmere with unexpected textures. This season, the collection translates cashmere out of the monologue and into a dialogue with her other beloved material, leather.
“In terms of the manufacturing process, we faced a real challenge. We combined the most delicate cashmere and leather to meet the highest quality requirements,” says Karg, “and we achieved this by collaborating with the best and most experienced craftsmen.” The result is a harmony of leather and fur that intersects with cashmere to create a new urban Silhouette by Allude. The German beauty also surprises with four men’s models on the runway.
In this collection, Andrea has kept her usual slim, supple silhouette, contrasting it with a garçonne look: strict lines, impeccable chic with masculine details. Cashmere, the material she’s so passionate about, is the subject of a skilful dosage, from the most delicate knit to the most opulent custom-made multiple textures. The result is always a unique combination for a very relaxed, hyper-feminine look.
Its hyper-urban color palette reinforces the sophistication of its creations and lends a zeitgeist touch to the Allude collection.
