Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world’s ten largest hotel groups, announces the opening of the Radisson Blu Hotel, Rouen in France. The 91-room property is scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2015, adding to Carlson Rezidor’s French portfolio of 23 hotels in operation or under development.
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Rouen and further strengthen Radisson Blu’s position as a very high-end brand in France,” explains Wolfgang M. Neumann, CEO of Rezidor.
A central location in the heart of Rouen, just a short walk from the train station and adjacent to the medieval Jeanne d’Arc tower. In addition to 91 guest rooms offering typical Radisson Blu brand services such as free high-speed Internet access, the upscale, full-service establishment will include a 139 m² continuous-service restaurant, a 100 m² bar area, 297 m² of meeting and event facilities, as well as a 118 m² gym and spa. The hotel’s architecture and design will be an attractive blend of historic and new buildings.
Located in northern France, the city of Rouen is the capital of the Haute-Normandie region and known as the historic capital of Normandy. The city is also beginning to focus on leisure tourism, and has become a popular destination for cultural breaks, weekend getaways and corporate travel.
Carlson Rezidor has developed a solid network of Radisson Blu hotels in key destinations throughout the country. In particular, the brand has 6 establishments in the Île-de-France region and is present in cities such as Nantes, Toulouse, Biarritz, Nice, Cannes and Marseille. Since 2012, Radisson Blu has also had a resort in Corsica.
