Stéphanie Le Quellec wins her1st star at the head of La Scène, the restaurant at the luxury Prince de Galles hotel in Paris.
Stéphanie took over the reins of the restaurant in May 2013 after the hotel was completely renovated. The 32-year-old chef, who first came to public attention in season 2 of Top Chef, was already familiar with Michelin-starred restaurants. She has worked at the Georges V and the Four Seasons Terre Blanche.
“This first star salutes a first year rich in all the emotions linked to the opening of a gourmet restaurant in a luxury establishment such as the Prince of Wales. This star is a testament to the work we’ve accomplished, but also to the road we still have to travel. Stéphanie Le Quellec
Stéphanie’s aim is to “ desacralize palace gastronomy, making it friendly, welcoming and less intimidating, without robbing it of any of its magic and elegance”, and her cuisine focuses on quality produce and a seasonal menu of generous dishes.
