A DAY OF GOURMANDISE AND GENEROSITY
On Wednesday March 20, we’ll be celebrating Macaroon Day for the 8th year running! Pierre Hermé and the members of Relais Desserts invite you to celebrate France’s most famous delicacy, the Macaroon!
62 pastry chefs in 160 stores in France and abroad: a collective and international mobilization, synonymous with a plea for gourmet delights, and a genuine act to raise public awareness for a worthy cause: the fight against cystic fibrosis.
This day of solidarity, initiated by Pierre Hermé, is increasingly successful. Year after year, Relais Desserts patissiers have invested their passion in inspiring the macaroon and mobilizing gourmets around a cause of solidarity.
Once again this year, each patissier will rise to the challenge of astonishing, surprising and delighting die-hard fans and new recruits alike, with the most astonishing flavours and colors. New flavors, new recipes: it’s definitely time for creativity!
For this unique annual event, all Pierre Hermé Paris boutiques will be offering a selection of 25 must-have fragrances. An opportunity to discover or rediscover the world of taste, sensations and pleasures of the man nicknamed “Picasso of Pastry” by Vogue.
A DONATION, A MACARON!
ALL MOBILIZED AGAINST MUCOVISCIDOSE
More than just a pleasure for the taste buds, this day is all about solidarity. This year, Pierre Hermé and the members of Relais Desserts have decided to support the association Vaincre la Mucoviscidose. Cystic fibrosis is a rare genetic disease that mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems. In France, 200 children are born with the disease every year, and 2 million people are unknowingly healthy carriers of the cystic fibrosis gene.
Vaincre la Mucoviscidose is an association recognized as being in the public interest. Transparent and rigorous, it is monitored by the Comité de la charte du don en confiance.
Founded in 1965 by parents of young patients and caregivers, Vaincre la Mucoviscidose is dedicated to supporting patients and their families in every aspect of their lives disrupted by the disease. The association therefore organizes its action around four priority missions: to cure, to care, to improve quality of life, and to inform and raise awareness. The work accomplished since then has enabled considerable progress to be made, increasing the average life expectancy of patients, their comfort of life and the quality of care.
On March 20, the association’s network of volunteers will be mobilizing at every Pierre Hermé Paris boutique and every Relais Desserts member to raise awareness and collect donations. This proximity will enable them to answer any questions and share their enthusiasm, dynamism and enthusiasm.
In addition to the donations collected and a percentage of the sales generated in each of its boutiques, Maison Pierre Hermé Paris will donate 8 euros for each box of Collection Les Jardins sold.
So more than ever, on March 20, don’t hesitate, the message is simple and the cause is noble: Un don, Un macaron!
