The world’s biggest cooking competition for professionals is back for a 4th season with the best hopefuls of the culinary world.

Once again this year, the candidates will have to compete with creativity and technique in new and surprising group and individual events. But this year, because of the economic crisis, the focus is on everyday products for exceptional cuisine.

For this 4th season, the 16 gastronomic artists will have the mission of transforming and sublimating the usual products in sometimes atypical contexts, and I can tell you that these budding chefs have big mouths and big personalities. Virginie, florian, valentin , latifa, yoni? Who will win?

For this 4th season, 16 candidates will take part in the biggest cooking competition reserved for professionals. More candidates means more competition and more recipes to share.
More girls among the 16 candidates: 4 girls have joined the cast in a bid to win the title of TOP CHEF 2013.
Valentin has already won over the hearts of the women in the audience, accompanied by Joris the handsome Dutchman! As for Latifa’s outspokenness, she’s sure to have a lot to say.

The talent of the candidates will be to prove to the jury that they are capable of making exceptional dishes with all these ingredients.
You’d never suspect what can be done with the ingredients that everyone has in their refrigerator.
Everyday products will be proposed in each round, and everything will have to be used, including leftovers, peelings etc…

– How do you make a dish worthy of the greatest chefs with a can of tuna, children’s cereal, an egg or surimi?
– How do you create a 3-star menu (starter, main course, dessert) for just €7.40?
– How do you transform canteen recipes into gourmet dishes?

The TOP CHEF temporary restaurant opens its doors at the ALCAZAR for the duration of the program
For the second year running, the temporary restaurant “vu à la TV” offers viewers the chance to extend the TOP CHEF TV experience “live”, by sampling the cuisine of the show’s talents!
TOP CHEF invites itself to “L’Alcazar” (62 rue Mazarine, 75006 Paris), a restaurant known as one of the best contemporary brasseries, to create a culinary event in the heart of Paris from the first to the last day of the show.

From March 16 to April 28, 2013, 40 “Châteaux & Hôtels Collection” chefs will be offering recipes dreamed up by the best TOP CHEF contestants in their restaurants throughout France.
