Tasting notes
Moët Rosé Impérial is a champagne of spontaneity and radiance. Rosé Impérial is distinguished by its radiant color, intense fruitiness and flamboyant palate. The Rosé Impérial blend is based on the intensity of Pinot Noir, the fruitiness of Pinot Meunier and the finesse of Chardonnay. 20-30% of specially selected reserve wines complete the blend, reinforcing its intensity, subtlety and consistency. Its radiant pink color is predominantly red, with violet highlights. The aroma is intense: a lively bouquet of small red summer fruits (strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant), complemented by floral nuances (rose, hawthorn) and a hint of pepper. The palate combines intensity and roundness: fleshy and juicy at first, then firm (stone) and finally subtly vegetal (mint).
Moët & Chandon Cellar Master Benoit Gouez perpetuates a constantly renewed inspiration “Moët Impérial is the House’s emblematic cuvée. Created in 1869, it embodies the unique style of Moët & Chandon. Its rosé version offers a style characterized by dazzling fruitiness, a savory palate and elegant maturity”, he points out.
Rosé Impérial goes well with simple, colorful and intense dishes. It’s ideal with red bell pepper and prawn soup, or lamb chops with pink pepper and celery mousseline.
