There’s no set theme for showroom visits. And yet our visit to the Aeffe showroom had an Italian theme, as three big names in Italian fashion were on show: Pollini, Moschino and Alberta Ferretti.
POLLINI Shoes and accessories, Pollini creations are very Mediterranean, full of color and metallic hues, with laser-cut leather. These include summer and fluorescent wedges, as well as the most adorable polka dots.
MOSCHINO
Ah, Moschino and its many collections, proof that you don’t have to go to exorbitant price ranges to make pretty things. For Spring Summer, fluorescent colors mixed with more modest shades reminiscent of the 70s, such as mustard and orange.
The shoulders are uncovered, and there’s an explosion of color, whether for Moschino’s own collections or the Cheap and Chic or Love Moschino collections. Claudine collars are in the spotlight, and we salute the wacky side of the brand, which brands its creations with the slogan “Moschino, the funniest brand in fashion”.
ALBERTA FERRETTI
We end our visit with the grand dame side of Alberta Ferretti’s creations. The shades are softer than what we’ve seen so far, with whites, turquoises, blues and lace. The diffusion line features chic pyjamas in lilac and parma. Special mention for an absolutely ravishing blouse from the same collection.
