Gastronomic invitation with “Tous au Restaurant

On his return from a trip to New York, chef Alain Ducasse had the idea of transposing the “Restaurant Week” concept to France. This operation, which has been running for 12 years in the United States, promotes restaurants with a special offer for all.

Here in France, thanks to the initiative of this famous French chef, the “Tous au Restaurant” operation is now in its third year. And it’s set to be a gastronomic success once again this year, with over 1,000 restaurants across the country taking part. It’s an exceptional way to discover culinary delights you might not normally go to. As for the starred restaurants taking part: Le Jules Verne, Le Carré des Feuillants, Le Camélia, Hélène Darroze’s Restaurant and of course Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée in Paris…

By offering the effective“buy one, get one free” formula (specially composed for the occasion with a starter, main course and dessert), restaurateurs can share their Art with potential new customers, who enjoy themselves while pleasing their guest.

But beware, places are obviously limited, so if you want to take advantage of it, be there this Wednesday, September 5th at 10H on the website http://www.tousaurestaurant.com to reserve the meal(s) of your choice. First come, first served. You’ll be able to experience tasting and emotional moments during the week of September 17 to 23, 2012.

And this year, the experience also becomes nomadic with the“Restaumobile“, a bus transformed into a 40-seat restaurant that will criss-cross Paris from September 17 to 24. The aim is to make the cuisine of the brilliant young French chefs taking part in the event even more accessible. Like the talented Laurent Petit, whose restaurant Le Clos des Sens in Annecy has been awarded two Michelin stars. For lunch and dinner, this ephemeral restaurant will be set up in different parts of the capital, bringing this unique event to life.

To find out more about the operation, the participating restaurants and try to win gourmet meals/escapades, take a look at the Facebook page.

We hope you’ll be lucky enough to push open one of our doors, and sometimes sit at one of our exceptional tables, like the 400,000 people who booked a gourmet lunch or dinner last year. So, let’s all go to the restaurant and enjoy your meal!
