Versace and H&M celebrate their collaboration with a show in New York
The new collection uniting the two brands was presented this week in New York at a catwalk show. Iconic pieces, created exclusively for the occasion, were unveiled on the catwalk. The show continued with an evening featuring exclusive performances by Prince and Nicki Minaj, special guests of Donatella Versace.
The venue was decorated in pure Versace style, and the catwalk was paved with gold, an ideal environment for previewing this Versace collection for H&M. The house showcased iconic women’s pieces such as draped dresses in metallic mesh, silk crepe dresses adorned with gold buttons, printed dresses with multicolored panels, and a Versace classic, the studded leather jacket. For the men, sober, chic suit cuts shared the bill with printed shirts and sweaters, as well as studded leather jackets and pants.
Prince live
Uma Thurman, Blake Lively, Chace Crawford, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Hudson and Selma Blair were among the guests who joined Donatella Versace to celebrate the launch of the new collection.
The collection will be available in selected H&M stores on November 17, 2011.
