Summer is here in Paris, despite the gloomy weather. On the rare sunny days, Parisian terraces are packed and never empty. The capital is full of sunny terraces, so it can be hard to choose. If you’re looking for a quiet place to relax, surrounded by greenery, then the green patio at the four-star Hotel Lotti is the place for you. Ideally located between Place Vendôme and Jardin des Tuileries, and just a few minutes from Place de la Concorde, Le Patio du Lotti is a haven of peace in the heart of Paris. You’ll be welcomed into an elegant and relaxing setting, where you can sip a cocktail in the middle of the greenery, or enjoy a marvellous Italian-inspired organic cuisine.

Once dubbed “the smallest of the great Parisian hotels”, theHotel Lotti, owned by the Spanish NH Hotels chain, has undergone a two-year refurbishment. Surrounded by the greatest names in jewelry and just a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier, this charming hotel combines great history, an intimate atmosphere, luxury and refinement. Inside, the luxurious decor of the 159 rooms and suites (from 215 euros) is a tribute to Parisian refinement and Italian elegance. While the Il Lotti restaurant celebrates Sardinian culinary tradition, the La Dolce Vita bar plays the charmer with its selection of cocktails.

Refurbished as a terrace restaurant with a green wall, palm trees over 5 metres high, fruit trees and vines, and equipped with an outdoor kitchen, Il patio offers organic food and drink while contemplating the abundant greenery. The culmination of the metamorphosis of the Hotel Lotti that began two years ago, Il Patio offers a selection of organic dishes, salads and sandwiches. The finest products have been selected to delight your palate.

The chef prepares refined, tasty, organic Italian cuisine, including a menu built around mozzarella, which you can enjoy with wine or organic cocktails. You’ll be spoilt for choice with the Tonique organic cocktail, a delicious blend of orange, kiwi, pineapple and honey. And if you prefer savoury flavours, then the Health organic cocktail is for you. Made with carrots, beet, tomatoes and peppers, it’s sure to delight fans of high-energy cocktails. The wines, loaded with tannin, have a soft bite but remain full-bodied on the palate.

The menu changes constantly, depending on the season, the freshness of the produce and the chef’s inspiration. The daily specials on the slate allow you to choose between a butcher’s cut, a fisherman’s fish or a pasta dish. Homemade Italian ice creams are also available. An assortment of breadsticks and freshly baked breads are available.

For our part, we chose a special of the day : Prawn skewers with ginger and Italian-style grilled vegetables, and a Caesar salad with avocado.

The prawns were perfectly cooked, the dish was finely spiced and the ginger could be felt.

The avocado is ripe, the salad fresh and crisp, and the chicken tender. The Parmesan shavings are generous, but the whole dish lacks a little pizzazz for someone who likes spicy dishes.

For hotel guests, a Pique-Nique Box is available for lunch in exceptional locations just a few steps from the hotel.

Sold for 25 euros at the hotel reception desk, the Pique-Nique Box is a biodegradable cardboard box containing a pre-selected menu (at least 4 hours in advance), a bottle of mineral water, bamboo cutlery and palm leaf plates, along with suggestions for picnic spots within 15 minutes’ walk of the hotel.

The menu offers a choice of starter, main course and dessert from a selection of organic products, such as organic smoked salmon salad with mangoes and green apples, organic king prawns with cocktail sauce and crispy baby lettuce shoots, or an assortment of mozzarella and fine Italian hams. But there’s a whole lot more on offer, so you can take full advantage of exceptional locations while enjoying refined dishes.

And for art lovers, ephemeral exhibitions are held regularly on the patio. Currently, three enormous resin cockerel sculptures by Spanish sculptor dEmo – gilded in the colors of the French and Spanish flags – have been installed.

You can expect to pay between €22 and €35 for a main course, €16 for a 100% organic sandwich, €13 for a cocktail and €8 for a glass of wine. And for those who wish to enjoy a Hamburger Couture, it will cost €35, but it’s a burger with a special ingredient.

The patio is open daily from 10am to 10pm.

Lunch is served on the terrace from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, and dinner from 7 to 10 pm.
