Tullamore Dew is the only whiskey made from all 3 types of whiskey. The spicy aroma of Pot Still combined with the complexity of malt whiskey and the smoothness of grain whiskey give birth to Tullamore Dew, recognized as “The true Irish whiskey”.
The Irish production methods differ from those used by their Scottish cousin in the absence of peat, large stills, triple distillation and the art of blending. The result is “smoother” whiskey: sweeter, fresher and lighter.
The origins of Tullamore Dew date back to 1829, when the Tullamore Distillery was founded in the town of Tullamore, County Offaly, in the heart of Ireland. Daniel E.William played a major role in the expansion and development of both the distillery and the town of Tullamore. In 1893, he introduced motorized transport and electricity to the town, so that he could make his whiskey the way he wanted. He also installed the first telephones. That’s why, with such influence, his initials inspired the brand’s name.
Tullamore Dew is one of the most awarded Irish whiskeys in the world, and widely acclaimed by whiskey connoisseurs. Distilled three times with strength of character and a smooth, approachable taste, it embodies the character of the Irish people, who possess a unique and unwavering spirit. It has won 29 medals over the past 10 years.
