The famous EXQUISITE vodka brand unveiled the results of its EXQUISITE DESIGN AWARD competition at a grand evening event held on Thursday September 15, 2011, at the Cité de la Mode et du Design.

Initiated by Pernod, the Exquisite Design Award competition builds on the momentum of the first PARIS DESIGN WEEK (September 12 – 18, 2011) by challenging young designers exhibiting at now! Le Off the challenge of imagining a mobile bar concept, around the Exquisite vodka bottle designed by one of the world’s most famous names in design and architecture.

It’s a mark of confidence in the avant-garde of French design, which competed with audacity and talent to propose projects, 10 of which were selected and exhibited at the now! design à vivre show, then on now! le off during the first Paris Design Week.

The jury, made up of designers, journalists, publishers, distributors and well-known design personalities, awarded prizes to three of these projects during the evening event, which attracted 3,500 guests to the Cité de la Mode et du Design.

EXQUISITE DESIGN AWARD:
– The Exquisite Design First Prize was awarded to Marc FERRAND for his concept-bar with a honeycomb structure whose shape echoes the play of curves and counter-curves that characterizes the Exquisite bottle. Marc F!errand is a graduate of Ecole Bleue, Paris.

– The Special Prize for Creativity was awarded to François MANGEOL for the elegance and modernity of his project. François Mangeol is a graduate of ESADSE, the Saint-Étienne School of Art and Design.

– The Special Prize for Innovation goes to Emilie VOIRIN for the originality of her proposal. Emilie Voirin is a graduate of ENSAD, the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
