The balloons hanging from the ceiling of the Récollets convent immediately bring to mind champagne bubbles. The prestigious champagne house was celebrating its anniversary in an atypical location near the Gare de l’Est station. The risotto was a knockout, as were the small verrines. As for the champagne, which flows in profusion, we can’t decide between white and rosé.
Hugo Mayer tells me I’ve missed Dolores Chaplin. Jean Pierre Martins, Christian Vadim, Corine Touzet and Bernard de la Villardiere followed in quick succession. Pascal gentil, the elegantly dressed taekwondo champion, was also on hand. Bruno Putzulu sports a well-trimmed beard. Firmine Richard, as smiling as ever, answers interviews with a big smile.
