Vautrait presented its spring-summer 2027 collection in Paris. The Maison places it under the sign of time, measured by daylight and tides rather than by urgency.
The presentation was held under the creative direction of Yonathan Carmel, with Tal Delgado Levy on styling. Itzik Gil Avizohar composed the music, Alessandro Tinelli made the film documenting the presentation, and Gregoire Avenel took the photographs. Twenty-three models are credited. The hats are by mature ha., the bags by Inès Bressand.
In its collection notes, Vautrait says it started from a question: at what point does a life become so full that it leaves no room for feeling? The Maison sets aside the idea of escape in favour of that of permission: living with less, letting time stretch, wearing a garment light enough for the wind to pass through it before one notices the fabric.
Three construction elements are announced: knots borrowed from the language of sailing, open constructions, and colours lying between salt, seaweed, sun and oxidised metal. Vautrait specifies that these are not symbols of the sea, but traces of a different relationship to time.
It remains to be seen where the knots sit on the garment, and what “open construction” covers in terms of cut.
