It’s time to open “The Wine Gate” at Galeries Lafayette, a unique wine experience in the heart of the famous Coupole. With a selection of over 100 fine wines from around the world available for tasting by the glass and for purchase, this innovative restaurant-wine bar is ready to take your gastronomic journey to a whole new level.
The Wine Gate is ideally located on the second floor of the store, offering a breathtaking view of the Coupole. The concept is designed to take you on a wine adventure throughout the day, from Champagne Brunch to tasting lunch, afternoon Tea or after work at the end of the day. Chef Tom Vickers has designed a contemporary cuisine to perfectly complement the wines tasted.
For a truly personalized experience, each customer can use a digital menu that suggests a pairing for each wine tasted. On the contrary, each dish is also paired with four different wines, classified according to the desired budget. This digital tool aims to guide customers in their choice of wine, and to help them discover French and foreign wines.
Each glass is accompanied by a QR code that gives access to detailed information on the estate, vineyard, vintage and tasting notes. Wine lovers will be delighted to discover videos and tours of wineries and estates in augmented reality, for total immersion in the world of wine.
The Wine Gate wine-tasting experience can now be discovered on the second floor of Galeries Lafayette, on the edge of the Coupole. It’s an invitation to discover and savor, alone or with friends or colleagues, some of the world’s greatest wines in a spectacular setting.
