The world’s oldest public aquarium, the Aquarium de Paris and Metaseum have just launched the first scientifically accurate NFT collection in history!
Carefully modeled in 3D, the characteristics of the NFTs correspond in every respect to those of the jellyfish swimming in the Aquarium.
Their Latin names, morphologies, tentacles, scientific families, danger indexes, geographical locations and ages have been verified by a team of marine biologists, and for the first time in the history of NFTs, metadata will enable scientific traits to be categorized.
The NFTs in the Jellyfish collection have been created with a view to raising awareness of marine life. Acquiring a Jellyfish NFT also means sharing knowledge, particularly about animals as little known to the public as jellyfish, and supporting the Paris Aquarium’s research resources for species preservation.
