For many years, Château Cantenac Brown, a magnificent Grand Cru Classé, has been accompanied by BriO, which is produced by parcel selection prior to vinification. In 2011, the family expands with the house white wine, AltO. The Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes are harvested from September 12 to 13. The 1.80-hectare vineyard is planted with 90% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Sémillon, and produces a confidential 7,000 to 8,000 bottles a year. The house’s clay-limestone terroir is cool enough to produce a great white wine with a golden color. The white of Cantenac Brown has a great aromatic expression: its notes of exotic fruit are marked by pineapple coated with a delicate woodiness. The round, elegant palate is marked by aromas of ripe Sauvignon and brioche. Mineral, suave, vibrant, AltO is a true Gastronome wine. Designed for the pleasures of the table, it pays tribute to the art of music while complementing the Cantenac Brown range: a perfect match. AltO de Cantenac Brown 2019 is a blend of 90% Sauvignon blanc and 10% Sémillon. It is aged in 10% new and 90% one-year-old French oak barrels.
AltO de Cantenac Brown 2019 is available from wine merchants at an average retail price of 23.50 euros.
