Le Cordon Bleu
, the world’s leading network of culinary arts and hotel management institutes, presents its range of continuing education courses in oenology for 2021 at its Paris institute, open to all.

This year, Le Cordon Bleu Paris is offering 4 different courses taught by the institute’s Head Sommeliers to introduce or perfect participants’ knowledge of the world of wine:

  • Intensive Oenology Course – 2 weeks: June 7 to 18, 2021
    This intensive program is designed for all those who wish to perfect their knowledge of wine. Suitable for enlightened amateurs or not, culinary arts students as well as hotel and restaurant professionals, no special knowledge is required to follow this program. The instructors pass on their techniques and know-how to all participants, enabling them to understand the world of wine through numerous tastings.
  • Deepen my tasting experience – 3 days: May 5 to 7, 2021
    This course is designed for those who wish to perfect their understanding of wines, learn to recognize the oenological factors that give rise to wines, and recognize wines from the greatest terroirs. Wine service and conservation are an integral part of this three-day course.

  • Sparkling Wines “Bubbles of Pleasure” – 3 days: May 26-28, 2021
    Beyond the festive dimension of sparkling wines lies a technique and a few winemaking secrets. Participants learn about winemaking processes and the main wines on the French and European markets. To put theory into practice, these sparkling wines are tasted during the course: Champagnes, Crémants, Mousseux, Lambrusco, Prosecco, Cava and Vins pétillants.
  • Discovery and introduction to French vineyards – 3 days: May 17 to 19, 2021
    An expert sommelier introduces participants to wine tasting and shares his knowledge of France’s rich vineyards. An opportunity to discover the basics of wine tasting and what lies at the heart of the quality of French wines: terroir, grape varieties, tradition and winemaking know-how.
