Bubbles and grands crus are decked out in their festive finery to enchant the palate. Two nuggets that will delight wine lovers looking for exceptional bottles or gift ideas.

TO DISCOVER WITHOUT FURTHER DELAY

Wolfberger presents two unique products for lovers of bubbles and vintage wines: its Crémant d’Alsace Brut Célébration Unique and its vertical tasting box of Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen.

CRÉMANT D’ALSACE BRUT A UNIQUE CELEBRATION

Elegantly dressed for the festive season, this 40-month lath-aged cuvée is adorned with a sparkling gold sleeve and a customizable medallion for a 100% unique look. Our aim? To accompany every occasion to celebrate an event.

This Crémant d’Alsace, with its brilliant golden yellow color and fine, persistent mousse, reveals subtle notes of toasted brioche and yellow-fleshed fruit on the nose. The clean, creamy palate, supported by elegant flavors of almond and vanilla, gradually gives way to a long, fresh finish.

Ideal for festive aperitifs as well as fruity desserts
with citrus or mirabelle plums, Crémant d’Alsace Brut Célébration Unique will find a perfect place on every festive table. As the ultimate proof of its success, it was unanimously acclaimed at the Monde Sélection 2019 competition, winning the Silver medal.

PINOT GRIS GRAND CRU RANGEN BOXED SET

For the first time, Wolfberger invites epicureans on a unique journey through the vintages of Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen, reputed to be Alsace’s most southern and volcanic terroir, with an exceptional vertical tasting. 6 different vintages, for a Grand Cru emblematic of Alsace’s terroir, are to be discovered in this boxed set, guaranteeing a unique and uncommon tasting experience.

Vertical tasting allows you to compare the same wine (same appellation, same terroir, same grape variety) over several consecutive years, from the youngest to the most mature. This progressive tasting method allows wine enthusiasts to appreciate the external factors influencing the composition of a wine, from variations in climate to the specific, even complex characteristics of a terroir. The Grand Cru Rangen’s volcanic, sun-drenched soil produces wines of great aromatic richness. It has the particularity of being situated at a high altitude on 85% steep slopes, requiring meticulous vineyard work and manual harvesting with ropes. Its name derives from this specificity: Rangen being the translation of “slope” in old German.

ith its mythical geology and fertile, stony, dark soil that allows for greater heat accumulation, Rangen produces wines of rare elegance and fruity finesse, often with exceptional breed and power.

A SPECTACULAR BOX TO MATCH EACH VINTAGE’S PERSONALITY

For the first time, Wolfberger presents a 6-bottle box for vertical tasting.

From 2018 to 2013, the Pinot Gris Grand Cru Rangen is available in more subtle versions each year: the 2018 vintage is distinguished by a hint of vanilla and dried flowers, while the 2017 reveals citrus notes on the palate. Tasting the Grand Cru 2016 will release aromas of honey and apricot, the 2015 will stretch to those of dried fruit, while the 2014 will reveal toasty, roasted flavors. Finally, the oldest vintage, 2013, will reveal notes of yellow fruit and honey.
