As the year draws to a close, Le Clos Saint Joseph unveils its L’Ô DE JŌ Gin, the first Gin to be distilled in Meursault.
For the end of the year, treat yourself to an English Style Gin distilled in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards.

The first Gin distilled in Meursault, L’Ô DE JŌ is an artisanal London Dry Gin that embodies the delicacy and elegance of Burgundy. After learning the extraction and fixation of aromas and the blending of spicy compounds in the world of perfumery in Grasse, Charles-Guillaume and Blandine Simon set about making their own Gin. It was at Clos Saint Joseph, a former wine trading house founded in 1840, that they decided in 2014 to create their own artisanal distillery. Introducing exceptional spirits that combine tradition and modernity is the philosophy behind this family adventure. These products can be enjoyed on the finest tables in France and at specialist wine shops.

The quintessential London Dry Gin

London Dry Gin is a distilled gin whose name does not refer to its geographical origin, but to a style and a guarantee of quality guaranteed by strictly controlled production processes. No artificial elements (neither flavoring nor coloring) are added to the distillation process. It is made in a traditional alembic by distilling sugar alcohol of French agricultural origin, in the presence of the 16 botanicals that make up L’Ô DE JŌ. The proportion of distillation alcohol at the alembic outlet is over 70.5%, giving it the dry appellation.

Recipe N°1 of L’Ô DE JŌ

Among the 16 botanicals that make up Recette N°1 de L’Ô DE JŌ, we find a majority of juniper specific to gin, but also two varieties of Mustard to personalize this blend and recall the Burgundian terroir.

L’Ô DE JŌ is an elegant gin with a delicate nose of citrus notes and a clean, round mouthfeel.

It’s ideal as an aperitif with a lightly sweetened tonic and grated lemon zest directly in the glass, or on its own as a digestif.

L’Ô DE JŌ gins are produced in small quantities, bottled and labeled by hand.

Artisanal production – 50 cl – 41% vol.
