This estate, whose viticultural origins date back to the 11th century, was for a time attached to the Abbey of Fontfroide. In 1978, Jacqueline and François Bories, who had become owners, rehabilitated it. Gradually, they brought out local grape varieties, characteristic of the AOC Corbières and Languedoc wines, Carignan, Grenache, Syrah,… With Le Hameau des Ollieux, Corbières 2016 demonstrates the value of their commitment. The wine of an intense, brilliant red develops from the nose notes of black fruit and coffee. In the mouth, it benefits from a superb amplitude. With notes of black fruit, coffee, it captures the attention. It has a perfect grip, facilitating the length in the mouth. Very slightly textured, it keeps a beautiful structure.
Selected by Paolo Basso, Best Sommelier of the World 2013, for the Spring Wine Fairs of Carrefour (Hypermarkets), it convinces. It can be enjoyed now and kept for 2 to 4 years. To be considered with grilled meats, meats a la plancha, charcuterie.
