For the Spring Summer 2018 season, HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE explores Jomon culture, Japan’s Mesolithic period, in greater depth.
Pieces in raw linen and cotton complete a series of pleated pieces in soft, natural hues.
The ‘Dogu’ clay figurines, used as prayers for abundance, fertility and good health, inspired the creative teams. These enigmatic statuettes fascinate with their great variety of expression. They are printed on brightly-colored coats, pants and pleated tops, adding a touch of pop to the collection.
