Like Mr. Winston’s famous fine jewelry designs, the watches in the Premier collection stand out in the watchmaking world for their three-dimensional touch. The new Premier models, with their radiant two-tone mother-of-pearl dials, offer a superb demonstration of depth and volume.
Dynamic color
Color takes center stage in the Premier Diamond Second Automatic. The pink gold model, with its fascinating blue dial, transports us to the heart of the Maison’s history, where the color blue has often played a leading role. During his illustrious career, Mr. Winston acquired more than a third of the world’s most precious diamonds, including the legendary 45.52-carat Hope Blue Diamond, which he purchased in 1949. Reflecting the unique quality and rich chromatic palette of this stone, the dark blue mother-of-pearl dial is both magical and intense, changing its appearance with the light. Contrasting with the royal blue background, a white mother-of-pearl crescent highlights the off-center hour and minute counters. The white gold model, with its shiny, velvety white mother-of-pearl back, features a burgundy mother-of-pearl ribbon that surrounds the off-center hour and minute counters. In both Premier models, the contrasting crescent creates an optical illusion: the round diamonds acting as indexes seem to emerge from the dial towards the observer. At 12 o’clock, an emerald-cut diamond pays tribute to the favorite cut of the “King of Diamonds”.
The famous Winston Cluster motif blossoms at 6 o’clock
The subtle small seconds counter also pays homage to the rich heritage of the Maison Harry Winston, evoking the emblematic Cluster motif, a revolutionary design developed by Mr. Winston to free diamonds from their metallic shackles. Alternating pear-cut, marquise-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds set at different angles, these clusters of precious stones become three-dimensional sculptures teeming with life and movement. Surrounded by a crown of 39 brilliant-cut diamonds, the small seconds counter at 6 o’clock echoes the unique aesthetic of Harry Winston’s signature Cluster motif. Three hands in white or pink gold, topped respectively with three pink sapphires or three white diamonds, dance to the rhythm of the seconds inside the counter, infusing the dial with an elegant sense of movement.

Instantly recognizable by its diamond-set horns, which secure the case to the bracelet and evoke the arches framing the entrance to the Harry Winston Salon on New York’s 5th Avenue, the Premier Diamond Second Automatic boasts a 36 mm dial in 18-carat white or pink gold, set with 57 brilliant-cut diamonds on the bezel and horns.
A sophisticated mechanical movement
The Premier Diamond Second Automatic 36mm is powered by a high-end Swiss automatic movement. Equipped with the latest watchmaking technologies, such as a flat silicon balance spring, the movement boasts a generous 72-hour power reserve. The sapphire crystal caseback reveals the 18-carat pink gold rotor and the movement’s impeccable finishing, including circular Côtes de Genève decoration, rhodium plating and circular graining. The rose gold model is mounted on a dazzling blue alligator strap matching the dial, while the white gold model is presented on a pearly burgundy strap.
