Last night, the MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa was awarded the Grand Prix for Best Hotel in Africa at the 15th Prix Villégiature awards ceremony, held at the Château de Ferrière near Paris. These hotel awards, judged by a panel of 24 leading journalists from the international press, are presented each year to the finest hotels in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Opened in 2006, MAIA Luxury Resort & Spa is located in Anse Louis, on a private peninsula on the southwest coast of Mahé, the main island of the Seychelles. This member of The Leading Hotels of the World features 30 individual villas surrounded by their own private gardens, with panoramic ocean views. Each villa has its own 7.50 m infinity pool and large outdoor bathtub. The resort stands out in particular for its service, provided by butlers who are each dedicated to a single villa throughout its occupants’ stay.
