Château des Bertrands Blanc 2015 is available at wine merchants
The vineyards of Château des Bertrands benefit from a continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold winters. The abundant sunshine and low rainfall provide a favorable environment for vine-growing. In addition, the sand and sandstone soils of the Massif des Maures contribute greatly to the cuvée’s personality.
Château des Bertrands Blanc 2015 is a blend of 85% Rolle (Vermentino) and 15% Ugni-blanc. Harvesting took place at night in early September 2014. The grapes then undergo direct pressing, followed by settling and fermentation in vats at around 16°C. Aging on fine lees lasts 4 to 6 months.
Château des Bertrands Blanc 2015 has an intense yellow color. The nose is very complex, with citrus and almond aromas. The attack is frank and charming, followed by a lively, straightforward, highly expressive palate of white-fleshed fruit. The finish is long and delicious. Château des Bertrands Blanc 2015 is the ideal partner for grilled Mediterranean sea bream or bass, chickpea toast, or a salad with fresh goat’s cheese and grey pepper.
Château des Bertrands Blanc 2015 is available at wine merchants
and at boutique.md-provence.com for €16.
