Nicoletta Consolo Romanov was born in Rome to an Italian father and an Italian-Russian mother.
After graduating from the American Marymount International School, she moved to Paris to attend the renowned Parsons School of Design. She was just 18 years old.
In 1999, alongside her grandfather, Prince Nicholas Romanov of Russia, she attended the official funeral of the Tsar and his family in Saint Petersburg.




Thanks to her grandfather, she maintained relations with the other members of the family, scattered all over the world, taking an active part in the organization of the great family celebrations held in Saint Petersburg on the anniversaries of the death of the Tsar and his family.
His grandmother was Countess Sveva della Gherardesca, a descendant of one of Italy’s oldest noble families.
It was also at this time that she became a model for Ford Models Paris.
She returned to Rome in 1999 after the birth of her first son.
In 2002, as the mother of two children, she was selected from 600 applicants to play the lead in Gabriele Muccino’s film “Souviens-toi de moi”, released in February 2003.
This was the start of her film career, as she managed to find the right balance between her many film shoots and her family life. She collaborated with Longoni, Tagliavia, Lazzotti, Verdone, Bonivento and Colizzi for film and television, and performed her first play at the Ambra Jovinelli Theatre in the comedy “Arrête de pleurer Pénélope”, directed by Massimo Piparo.
In 2014, she was chosen as patron of the Rome International Film Festival.
She is currently shooting Giuseppe Alessio Nuzzo’s first feature film, Le Due Verità.
Courted by the fashion and advertising worlds, Nicoletta collaborated with Louis Vuitton for the launch of the “Roma, Venezia, Milano” capsule collection, and is involved in major charity projects alongside Unicef, Terre des Hommes and LILT to support their solidarity campaigns.
Nicoletta befriended the Damiani family of famous Italian jewelers, and co-signed with them a jewelry collection inspired by Imperial Russia and her personal ties between Russia and Italy.
A relationship of mutual esteem that led to her becoming the face of the brand’s international campaign.
