The vineyard of Château Grand Faurie La Rose was created in the 18th century, and since its acquisition by AG2R LA MONDIAL in 2005, it has been run by Bertrand de Villaines. This 10-hectare estate enjoys the same attention to detail as its famous predecessors, Châteaux Larmande and Soutard. The 30-year-old vines are planted on sandy-clay soil. The grape varieties are 82% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Château Grand Faurie La Rose 2014, Saint Emilion Grand Cru is characterized by notes of candied fruit and toast. Its tannins are supple and silky. It’s a racy, elegant wine. This beverage is characterized by a terroir that brings finesse while preserving a beautiful structure.
After entirely manual harvesting, traditional vinification begins with cold prefermentary maceration. It is then transferred to temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel vats. The wine is then aged for 12 months.
Château Grand Faurie La Rose 2014 is on sale at an average price of 17 euros.
