Global sports brand PUMA and London lifestyle company Trapstar are striking hard for the Autumn-Winter 2016 season, unveiling their first joint collection of footwear, apparel and accessories. Following the December release of a PUMA DISC BLAZE revisited by Trapstar, this collection promises to be the perfect blend of streetwear credibility and sport.

Trapstar’s credo is clear: each of us harbors a star within. Pure products of underground culture, founders Mike, Lee and Will draw inspiration from the best in cinema, photography, music and contemporary art, to infuse their identity into this brand that has become a cult worldwide. Transcending this philosophy with designs born of real inspiration – and not copied from any trend – Trapstar joins forces with PUMA to bring its vision of lifestyle to iconic sports models. Inspired by military motifs and the world of soccer, the collection blends bold red tones, subtle contrasting details and sporty elements to reinterpret familiar models, including the DISC. For irresistibly trendy pieces.

The DISC Blaze Camo TRAPSTAR incorporates the PUMA DISC system, while the camouflage pattern of the synthetic leather upper extends to the Trinomic sole. This timeless classic comes in sleek colors, nubuck or leather – for a premium product. Trapstar also puts its logo on PUMA’s CELL Bubble , with its all-over “White Noise” motif. The elasticized sole and lace duo is adorned with a red inner sock to push back the boundaries of streetwear. Finally, the double tongue and textile texture give the model even greater fullness.

The original T7 Savannah is reinterpreted in a high-end footwear version. Laser-cut heat transfers on the back offer a breathable effect that underlines the jacket’s functional character. The high-contrast camouflage print makes this urban must-have the perfect embodiment of TRAPSTAR DNA.

TRAPSTAR’s reinterpretation of the Tracktop zip-up hooded jacket is both functional and stylish: removable sleeves adapt to every activity, whatever the weather. The football-inspired cut-outs on the back offer comfort, thermal regulation and ventilation. To further anchor the model in the brand’s tradition, the deep black color is matched with TRAPSTAR red for a jacket that stands out at first glance. Combining the traditional soccer look with a bold streetstyle look, the Bib is a lightly quilted jacket that stays true to the TRAPSTAR identity thanks to its tone-on-tone camouflage treatment. Another round ball-inspired piece, the Team Parka revisits traditional training jackets for cold and rainy weather, for a fluffy model that remains streetstyle thanks to TRAPSTAR’s “White noise” signature printed on the sleeve. The water-repellent finish and discreet quilting ensure that it will stand up to winter days. Finally, the collection wouldn’t be complete without the PUMA x TRAPSTAR 32 ball in “White Noise” colors.

The PUMA x Trapstar Autumn-Winter 2016 collection will be released on August 15 on Puma.com, Trapstar.com and selected retailers.
