| LG Electronics (LG) and Google have officially unveiled their third collaborative project: the Nexus 5X. It features Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Google’s latest operating system for mobile devices, which delivers impressive performance, with excellent image quality and enhanced security. It also combines the best of Google and LG know-how in a single device. | |||
| Powerful, fast performance | |||
| The Nexus 5X features a slim 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 423 ppi and improved screen technology for faster touch recognition, better outdoor visibility and sharper images. Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon808 processor, the Nexus 5X deploys its capabilities easily and effortlessly, and for any task. Thanks to its fast USB Type C port, a 10-minute charging session provides enough energy for a battery life of almost four hours. | |||
| Beautiful images for every occasion | |||
| The Nexus 5X features a 12.3 MP[1] rear sensor and a 5 MP front camera. Thanks to the 1.55 µm sensors on the rear camera and the 1.4 µm sensor on the front, light is better absorbed than on previous Nexus models. Nexus 5X photos are therefore brighter, with striking detail, even in poor lighting conditions. The smartphone is also capable of taking 4K and slow-motion videos, features that make this phone Nexus’ most advanced multimedia tool to date. | |||
| Enhanced safety at your fingertips
The Nexus 5X is more secure than ever and easier to use thanks to Nexus Imprint, a fingerprint sensor located on the back of the device. Conveniently, the user’s fingers are naturally positioned here. A simple touch on the sensor is enough to switch on and unlock the Nexus 5X, which can then be used immediately. For US users, Nexus Imprint will also work with Android Pay to facilitate purchases in thousands of US stores. |

| ” We’re delighted to be working with LG once again to bring this new Nexus 5X to Nexus fans, who will be able to experience Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the most refined and powerful OS developed to date, ” adds Hiroshi Lockheimer, Vice President Android, Chromecast and Chrome OS at Google. | |||
