Indulging in a little illicit adult behavior while traveling is a popular fantasy among both male and female infidels. A recent study found out whether people actually act on their urges and why.
The study conducted by Victoria Milan – an extramarital dating site for couples – surveyed 6,422 male and female members, to find out what really goes on during business trips.
It’s more likely that unfaithful women use their break time for adulterous activities while on the road, with 67% admitting to having been unfaithful on a business trip, compared to 54% of men.
Business trips are more often international than domestic, and cheaters tell us they have multiple encounters with the same person, rather than a one-night stand or a flirtation.
The affair is usually with someone connected to work, and both men and women tell us that the first flirtations take place at company parties.
3 out of 4 men feel their partner is suspicious when they have to travel for work, while two-thirds of women think their partner suspects nothing.
For those whose partners feel the need to be sure of their fidelity, know that wives will check when their unfaithful husbands have arrived at the hotel, while suspicious husbands feel reassured by questioning their wives at length on their return from a trip.
Sigurd Vedal, CEO and Founder of Victoria Milan, tells us that the results show us the adventurous side of the world of infidels.
“International travel, hotel rooms, company parties… are all part of the perfect mix for a business trip enhanced by a sultry affair. It’s a popular fantasy, and it’s not surprising to learn that infidels like to act on their impulses when traveling for business. What’s more surprising is that women are more likely to stray on business, yet their husbands are less suspicious,” says Vedal.
