The model and the photographer: a mythical couple conjugated in the feminine for the new Pinko autumn-winter 2015/2016 campaign. Here, the role of Veruschka and David Hemmings is reinvested by this season’s two muses of the brand: Kenza Fourratti and Camilla d’Alfonso, models as well as artists. This creative mood emanates from these women, through a campaign that puts the creative process of photography back in the picture: a mise en abîme of the shoot. Finding the angle, the framing… all operations that must follow the rigor of know-how to obtain a campaign that sets the tone for the season. Here, Henri Piccinotti’s lens portrays a creative, dynamic woman, imbued with the energy of the season.
Fringe, wide pants, masculine suits, little trapeze dresses, turtleneck sweaters: a meeting between the chic of Diane Keaton and the modern Parisian look of Françoise Hardy. Women with strong personalities whose looks have left their mark on fashion history. More than looks, attitudes: chic and relaxed. A naturalness that makes you envious. Here, these 1970’s inspirations are updated with a sporty edge: notably with the “shine shine Baby” sneakers, or the use of sporty elements (hoops) in the campaign.
Pinko doesn’t speak in terms of singular femininity: here, masculine pieces are combined with sporty ones and more bohemian evening gowns, without any particular grammar. An insolent allure, a woman of action, at ease with herself and her body: a “Superwoman”?
Not just a contemporary woman. Pinko just lets her reveal all her facets and play with her wardrobe to compose the look that suits her moods, her creative moods. She’s no longer simply the photographer’s object, and even less so a ready-made outfit. She directs the male costume, and makes it sensual or sporty, as she pleases. An assertive woman.
