Photographer Philippe Shangti will be present on the Croisette this year. An opportunity to discover his pop and glamorous universe at two special events.
The VIP Room presents his photographs from May 13 to 24, 2015. An exclusive exhibition featuring the latest works from his new “Luxury Overdose” series, as well as a selection of all his landmark works produced since 2008. The exhibition will be on view throughout the Festival.
As an added bonus, stars and celebrities will be invited to pose in front of his works, for an original photo shoot that renews the photo call genre.
The photographer stands out for his rather contemporary, out-of-the-ordinary photos, which have earned him the honors of art collectors and celebrities alike. For several years now, the artist has been making his name known internationally, from Dubai and Amsterdam to London.
In addition, Philippe Shangti is one of the artists selected for the Auction organized to benefit the foundation created by Alexandre Bodart Pinto “Wheeling around the World”. The auction will take place during the prestigious “Ciné-Arts” Gala Dinner on May 18, 2015 at the Hôtel Majestic Barrière. Sponsored by Nikos Aliagas, the “Wheeling around the World” association campaigns to improve travel conditions for people with reduced mobility.
To support the association’s fight, Philippe Shangti is auctioning one of three copies of one of his iconic works: “No Cocaïne Here Deluxe”, part of his “Art Vs Drugs” series aimed at denouncing the excesses of drugs. All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Foundation.
