An original concept in Paris’s 11th arrondissement has just opened. The Wall Street Bar, a new address in Paris, now offers, as its name suggests, an extensive stock market portfolio comprising glasses of wine, pints of beer and numerous cocktails.
The metaphor goes even further, as a screen in the center of the bar allows customers to follow the price of drinks, whose trend changes every 100 seconds. A drink can go from 8 to 4 euros in a matter of minutes, and even suffer an unprecedented drop in price during one of the many stock market crashes that spice up every evening.
In April, the Wall Street Bar opened its terrace on Avenue Parmentier, from 12:00 to 2:00 Monday to Saturday, in the spirit of a wine bar. The originality doesn’t stop there, however, as the venue also hosts themed evenings. On the program: wine tasting and girls’ nights every Thursday.
In addition, the bar regularly celebrates major sporting events, especially those related to soccer and rugby.
The South-Western-style cuisine, featuring tapas and local produce, has even earned the Wall Street Bar 70th place on the Tripadvisor website out of 14,000 Parisian restaurants. On the menu: bruschettas, piquillos, roast camembert and the inevitable duck confit, as well as hearty, original salads.
