Chanel, pre-Basel watch collections

In 2000, the year of its launch, the J12 was the first watch to dare to transform high-tech ceramics into a precious material. First in dazzling black, then in immaculate white in 2003, the number 12 became one of CHANEL’s signature numbers.
In 2011, CHANEL innovated once again with the creation of Titanium ceramic, giving the bracelet a unique, ever-changing pantone.

Fifteen years after its creation, CHANEL continues to pay homage to this watchmaking icon with its many variations, daring matte finishes, jewelry editions and Haute Horlogerie series.

J12 FLYING SKELETON TOURBILLON
The tourbillon, stylized as a precious comet, spins lightly, as if freed from weightlessness. A noble complication par excellence, this tourbillon with no upper bridge is the fruit of close collaboration between CHANEL and the Swiss master-watchmakers at Renaud & Papi (APRP SA).
With its singular beauty, the finely openworked dial reveals the mechanics of its skeletonized Haute Horlogerie movement, which plays on variations of black – matte, polished, shiny – and a thousand diamond lights.

For the first time since its creation, the white J12 dares to be colorful, adorning its bezel with 3 new hues: pale blue, soft pink and water mint green. Three powdery pastels in a limited edition of 1,200 pieces each.
With the J12-G.10 watch, CHANEL offers itself the luxury of a precious detour by adapting the NATO bracelet, a staple of the military world, to women’s watchmaking.
Like a secret code, the J12-G.10 chooses a new identity by borrowing its name from the order form for this legendary military bracelet.
FIRST
The first watch created exclusively for women by CHANEL in 1987, inspired by the octagonal shape of the N°5 bottle stopper and that of Place Vendôme, the Première is an icon.
And since 2012, with the Tourbillon Volant Camélia caliber, the Première has entered the world of Grandes Complications.

PREMIÉRE TOURBILLON VOLANT AJOURÉ
Finely set with diamonds, the Première Tourbillon Volant Ajouré offers women the opportunity to enter the world of high horological complications.
Stylized as a camellia, its flying tourbillon with no upper bridge beats with restraint at the heart of a finely openworked movement, the result of a close collaboration between CHANEL and the Swiss master-watchmakers Renaud & Papi (APRP SA).
Playing on nuances – matte, polished, brilliant – black is adorned with a rare intensity, sublimated by the sparkling brilliance of diamonds. Beyond the exceptional, the Première Tourbillon Volant Ajouré embodies a horological vision of precious time.

MADEMOISELLE PRIVÉ
Opening the doors to the intimate world of Gabrielle Chanel, the “Mademoiselle Privé” collection of jewelry watches is conceived as a jewel case revealing the symbols Mademoiselle cherished and the elements she loved to surround herself with.

Under the fingers of the greatest enamellers, engravers, chasers and gem setters, this collection writes a new page in CHANEL’s creative history, and becomes the territory for the expression of Métiers d’Art excellence in watchmaking and Haute Joaillerie.
