From September 6 to 13, theSchool Gallery will be a key stop on the “Food and Design” thematic tour, alongside major and emerging players in the creative and design worlds.
Ambassador of the new food luxury worldwide, Lenôtre is once again a privileged partner of Paris Design Week this year, associating itself with Sacha Goldberger’s latest photographic series “Super-Flamands” with an installation of sugar decorations.
After giving his vision of old age among superheroes in his work on “Mamika”, the photographer continues to explore these characters with a highly personal vision. He wanted to confront these tutelary figures from contemporary American mythology, as well as those from children’s fairy tales, with the vision of the painters of the Flemish School.
As an extension of his out-of-frame photographs, the chefs at Lenôtre ‘s decor workshop created sugar pieces around the symbolic objects and accessories of his characters.
Snow White’s fatal apple, made of blown sure, is placed at the foot of the photograph of the “pale young woman surrounded by animals”, and the spider’s web, elaborated in spun sugar, seems to be projected from the portrait of this Spiderman out of the 16th century or
“masked man with a spider embroidered on his bust”.

A dialogue is immediately established between Sacha Goldberger’s “Super-Flamands” and Lenôtre’s pieces: his fictional heroes find their echoes in these fragile, ephemeral sugar objects.
Throughout Design Week, the public is invited to discover the School Galery’s exhibition of photographs and unique pieces using various sugar techniques: pastillage, filé, tiré, soufflé…
