There’s a slice of paradise in Athens: the Astir Palace Resort. Located just a few kilometers from the city center in the upscale suburb of Vouliagmeni, this 75-hectare resort on a private peninsula boasts gardens, private beaches and, above all, two hotels, the Arion and the Westin Athens, offering a unique, luxurious experience close to the resort. Situated in the heart of the Athenian Riviera, surrounded by the crystal-blue waters of the Saronic Gulf, lined with sandy beaches and palm trees. A natural seaside oasis at the foot of the Hymette mountain range, it’s just half an hour’s drive (25 kilometers) from Athens’ cosmopolitan city center and 24 kilometers from the airport.

Guests interested in the rich culture of Athens can explore the city’s many iconic and archaeological sites, while those with more contemporary tastes can head to the prestigious shopping district of Glyfada, where upscale boutiques and terrace cafés mingle. Considered the Hamptons of Greece, this area is just ten minutes from the resort and, like Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, is home to some of the region’s finest beaches.

At the resort you’ll find a full range of services, facilities and activities designed to satisfy your every wish and desire. Offering spectacular sea views, the spa, fitness center and private pool will awaken your senses, while the private beach invites you to take a closer look at the sapphire-blue sea. Enjoy other leisure activities with our tennis courts, jogging tracks, water sports and the nearby Glyfada golf course. And with amenities like The Luxury Collection concierge service and a full-service business center, you can be sure we’ll meet and exceed your every need and expectation.

The Arion Resort and Spa is an institution in Greece, having welcomed the world’s greatest statesmen and stars since its opening in 1960. It welcomes a large number of Greek guests who appreciate its discretion and for whom a stay in the hotel is a family tradition. There are 127 rooms and 57 luxury bungalows.

The Westin, on the other hand, is a more modern establishment built into the rock, giving it the impression of rising out of the hill. It has 162 rooms.

Illustrating the resort’s heritage and commitment to providing guests with a distinctive experience, the resort offers guests the very best of Greek cuisine, with traditional yet innovative Mediterranean flavors prepared by chef Michel Jost. The resort is also home to the renowned Matsuhisa restaurant, run by world-renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa. In addition to unforgettable cuisine, these restaurants also offer breathtaking sea views.

During the summer months, the beachside Sailor’s Bar and the traditional Taverna 37 offer fresh, seasonal dishes. Open all year round, the Alia brasserie serves a selection of breakfasts and the Alia lounge bar is the ideal address for an evening aperitif.
