From the age of dinosaurs to the age of ice
During the vacations, a highly original outing idea for children… and parents. Dive into prehistory.
Right from the start of the exhibition, visitors are plunged into the heart of the Ice Age, where they can discover and observe some 30 species of prehistoric mammals (mammoths, woolly rhinoceroses, giant beavers, saber-toothed tigers), as well as the ancestors of man (Homo Erectus, Neanderthal man and Cro-Magnon man) staged in their natural habitat. The settings have been designed to represent different biotopes such as tundra, forests and glaciers. In the second part of the exhibition, visitors take a leap back in time to discover the world as it was 150 million years ago in the secondary era, what the planet looked like, what species populated it and what vegetation covered it. Over 20 species of dinosaur are presented, from the smallest Archeopterix to the largest Brachiosaurus.
At the end of the exhibition, a recreation area features a film on a giant screen, a carousel for the little ones, touch-screen games for children and a photo area where parents can immortalize their visit to the exhibition and take souvenir photos of their children on the backs of dinosaurs and prehistoric animals.
