Loris Azzaro: Fall-Winter 2014/15 Couture Collection

Like a diaphanous interlude between intense darkness and crystalline shimmer, Loris Azzaro transcends feminine sensuality in his collection

Fall-Winter 2014/15 Couture designed by Arnaud Maillard and Álvaro Castejón.

The sensual essence of women has become the true soul of each of their creations.

The collection draws its inspiration from the dark feline, the black panther. The animal’s dark character emanates from each creation.

Embroidered, embossed on leather or applied, stains shape silhouettes. Through scratches, materials glide over the body, embracing bewitching trajectories.

The symbiosis of materials gives rise to unexpected encounters: embroidery, lace and silk are inhabited by an animal dimension.

A nocturnal presence so strong that the feline woman is transformed into an explosion of color.

From the intensity of black to optical white, from midnight blue to vivid red to nude, the creations are dressed in crystalline rain and shimmering mirrors.

In this nebula of light, her femininity is expressed through a play of transparencies, opacities, cut-outs and daring pleats.

Silk jerseys, chiffons and charmeuse flights are enriched by jacquards with embroidered reliefs.

Sublimated by the woman’s haughty bearing, these gowns become luxurious jewel cases, intangible in appearance but very real, designed to preserve from ordinary mortals the best-protected secret since the dawn of time: the extent of feminine complexity.
