Continuing its expansion in Europe, Netflix will make its streaming service available in six new European countries, including France, before the end of the year.
From launch, Internet users with a broadband connection will be able to subscribe to Netflix, enjoying a wide selection of French, Hollywood and international TV series and films, as well as original Netflix productions. These programs will be available on TV, tablet, smartphone, game console and computer, anytime, anywhere.
Since the launch of its streaming services in 2007, Netflix has offered its subscribers a high degree of flexibility. Regardless of the device used, users can watch, pause and resume programs whenever they like, with no advertising. Thanks to its unique recommendation engine, Netflix offers each of its subscribers a personalized list of titles to watch.
With over 48 million users in more than 40 countries, and nearly one billion hours of viewing per month, Netflix is the world leader in Internet TV. After the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden (2012) and the Netherlands (2013), this launch is part of Netflix’s ongoing expansion in Europe.
